Sister Thomas de Villeneuve, (Exilda Malloux) age 99, of the Sisters of Presentation of Mary, Manchester, NH, died August 15, 2002, at St. Joseph Residence, Manchester, NH.

Born September 13, 1902, in Gardner, MA, she was the daughter of Thomas and Fredeline (Letellier) Mailloux. She entered the Sisters of Presentation of Mary in 1922, made her first Profession in 1924, and her final Profession in 1929.

Sister Thomas received a Bachelor of Education and a Masters of Education from Catholic Teachers College in Providence, RI.

As an educator, she taught in Woonsocket and West Warwick, RI, in Berlin and Hudson NH, primarily in secondary education, and then became principal at Our Lady of the Mountains Academy in Gorham, NH. She served in Keene and Hudson, NH in a variety of community services, including nurses aide. She retired in 1991 in Hudson and was later transferred to St. Joseph Residence in Manchester, NH.

Family members include a sister, Mrs. Noella Harris of Gardner, MA; a brother, Leonard Mailloux, of Fitchburg, MA; several nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday August 19, 2002 in the Ressurection Chapel. Burial was in Presentation of Mary Cemetery, Hudson, NH.

Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester, is in charge of arrangements.
