Fernande M. "Fern" (Yergeau) Genest, 83, of Manchester, NH died peacefully on January 14, 2017 at Villa Crest Retirement Community after a brief illness.
She was born in Manchester, on November 2, 1933 to Gaston and Blanche (Lapointe) Yergeau. A resident of Manchester most of her life, Fern was a General Manager for the Omni Hotel group, where she traveled the country managing top-tier hotels in Dallas, New York and Miami. Renowned for her integrity, guidance and leadership, she was prized by her co-workers and remained in contact with many of them during her retirement.
She found her greatest joy in her grandchildren. She was an integral part in helping raise all four to adulthood, imprinting her lasting values and legacy upon them. Throughout her life Fern cherished her friends and family and enjoyed spending time with all of them.
She is survived by her children, Daniel Genest and his fiancee, Julie Mainville, of Mount Vernon, Denise Covill of Phoenix, AZ, Charlene Genest of North Hampton and Bonnie McGrath and her husband, David, of Auburn; four grandchildren, Eric Covill and his wife, Peggy, Amber McCune and her husband, Jason, David McGrath and Samantha McGrath; a great grandchild, Ash Jeffrey Covill; a sister, Yvette Hudon of Bedford and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her ex-husband, Albert Genest and two brothers, Gerard Yergeau and Norman Yergeau.

SERVICES: A memorial service will take at 11 am on Saturday May 6, 2017 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester.
