Sister Fernande Perreault, (Aime-Marie), 86, of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary, died May 16, 2018 at her residence in Manchester.
Born in Woonsocket, RI on July 20th, 1931, she was the daughter of Aime and Donalda (Robillard) Perreault. She took her first vow of religious profession on August 15, 1952.
Sister Fernande obtained her B.Ed. at Catholic Teacher College in RI, and M.Ed. at Rivier University in NH. She taught and was principal in many schools in RI and in NH. She served at the Casa de Esperanza in Houston, TX working with AIDS children. She recently volunteered as a teacher's aide at Presentation of Mary Academy in Hudson, NH and as well as a volunteer at Anne Marie House, for families in transition. She retired at St. Joseph Residence in Manchester in 2017.
She was pre-deceased by her parents and her sister, Mrs. Mariette Giguere. She is mourned by her sisters, Cecile Martin and husband Normand, Yvette Guillemette and husband Gerard, Gisele Chapdelaine, Suzanne Trudeau and husband Paul, all from RI, Jeanne-d'Arc Levesque from FL, Huguette Dion and husband Eugene of CT; her brothers, Jean Paul and wife Pauline of RI, Gilles and wife Linda of FL; many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 in the Resurrection Chapel. Burial will be in the Presentation of Mary Cemetery, Hudson.
