She was born in Goffstown on April 12, 1932, the daughter of Richard and Flore (Martel) Dumas.
Prior to retirement, she had worked many years as a floor woman for Pandora Industries in the city. Since retirement, she also worked at Mod-Tap in Bedford.
Fernande was a member of the Columbiettes 5163 and loved taking day trips with her husband.
She was a communicant of the former St. Edmond Church and recently was attending Mass at Sacred Heart Church.
Family members include her husband of 55 years, Richard P. Rene of Manchester; one sister, Alice Fournier of Manchester and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Thursday, December 15, 2011 in Sacred Heart Church, 223 South Main St, Manchester. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Road.
Donations may be made in her memory to the Precious Blood Monastery, 700 Bridge St, Manchester, NH 03104.
