Florence E. (Gaudette) Bournival, 97, of Manchester died February 26, 2005 at the Catholic Medical Center.
She was born in Bellingham, MA on July 13, 1907, the daughter of Alfred and Marie (Ladouceur) Gaudette. She was educated in the local school system having attended St. George Grammar School and Manchester High School Central.
She was formerly the secretary and treasurer of the Champlaine Snowshoe Club and was also a member of Montcalm Court 501. She had been recording secretary for the Catholic Order of Foresters and in 1975 was the first woman awarded "Outstanding Forester of the Year" in the New England Region.
She was a long-time communicant of St. Anthony Church.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Ulderic Bournival in 1975. She was also pre-deceased by two sisters, Cecile Mooney and Alma Venuti, her brother, Alfred Gaudette, and a granddaughter, Diane Jutras.
Members of her family include 4 sons, Eugene A. Bournival, Roger L. Bournival, and Donald O. Bournival, all of Manchestser, and Robert A. Bournival of Georgia; 4 daughters, Mrs. Robert (Claire) Simpson of Orlando, FL, Irene Jutras of Epsom, Mrs. Gerard (Lorraine) Duclos of Manchester, and Mrs. Wayne (Diane) Turnbull of Hooksett; 23 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren;
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Anthony Church on Thursday March 3, 2005. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
