Born in Manchester, NH on September 22, 1921, she was the daughter of Jean-Noel and Adelina (Marcotte) Guertin. She made her first profession on February 2, 1945 and final profession on August 15, 1950.
Sr. Florence taught in elementary schools for 36 years in Aldenville, MA, Marieville, Woonsocket and Phenix, RI, Hudson and Manchester, NH. After her teaching career, became school librarian in West Warwick, RI for 5 years. She was also involved in parish ministry in Keene, NH. She retired in 2002 and was a resident at St. Joseph II for 10 years.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Gilberte Boucher, Laurette Lussier, Therese Blais, Lucienne Desruisseaux, two brothers, George and Marcel Guertin, all of Mancheter.
She is survived by nephews and nieces.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 in the Resurrection Chapel of St. Marie Residence, 495 Mammoth Road, Manchester. Burial followed in the Presentation of Mary Cemetery in Hudson, NH.
