Florence D. McLaughlin

Florence D. McLaughlin, 97, of Manchester died Friday June 9^th 2023 after a period of declining health.

Born May 12^th 1926 in Manchester, she was the daughter of Adam & Bertha (Michaud) Bournival.  She attended local schools.  In 1946 she married Richard McLaughlin and they enjoyed 40 years of marriage together until his death in 1986.  Florence worked for many years as a clerk at Grant’s Department Store.

Florence will be remembered for being “everybody’s mom.”  In her younger years she enjoyed dancing and being a part of a square dancing group.  She was a devout Catholic and a communicant of the former St. Patrick’s Church.

Florence is survived by her children Richard R. McLaughlin & his wife Dorothy of Spring Hill, FL, Robert A. McLaughlin & his wife Sharon of Raymond, NH, Karen Bemis & her husband Peter of Alton, NH, and Cheryl Moody & her husband John of Hooksett, NH; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one niece & one nephew.

SERVICES: There will be no calling hours.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday June 13^th at 10am at St. Peter’s Church, 567 Manchester Rd., Auburn.  Committal prayers will immediately follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
