Florence T. Montplaisir

Florence T. Montplaisir, 87, of Manchester, died April 29th, 2016 after a brief illness. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Manchester on January 15, 1929, she was the daughter of Donat and Glorianna (Lamarande) Huot. She attended Sacred Heart Grammar School.
Prior to retirement, she had been employed by Velcro USA for over 27 years.
Florence enjoyed sharing meals with family and friends at the Backroom Restaurant and especially enjoyed winning bingo games. Above all else, she will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who cherished time spent with family.
She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Raoul "Ralph" Montplaisir in 2010.
Family members include her daughters, Susan Boulanger and husband Richard of Manchester, Helen Somers and husband David of Manchester; her son, Robert Montplaisir and wife Diane of Manchester; her grandchildren, Michael Somers, TJ Somers , Shawn Boulanger, Lisa Labreche and husband Eric, Kelly Joyce and husband Patrick, Kerrie Rouleau and husband Bryan, Jason Montplaisir and Michael Carrier, Eric Montplaisir and wife Kristen; many great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Desmarais and Irene Allard, both of Manchester.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Monday, May 2, 2016 in St. Anthony of Padua Church at 12 noon. Encryptment followed in the mausoleum at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
