Frances A. Florence

Born in Boston, MA on October 7, 1944, she was the daughter of George and Cecelia (Danehy) Galvin. She was educated in Boston area schools.

She worked as a regulatory affairs specialist at Etex Corporation for several years.

She enjoyed reading and traveling to the islands of the Caribbean.

She was predeceased by a son, Michael Shackelford in 2004.

IN HER LIFE: The family includes two children, Catherine Johnston and her husband, Dale, of Manchester, and Mark Shackelford and his wife, Joanne, of Allenstown; seven grandchildren, Dan, Amy, Shauna, Joshua, Jocelyn, Meagan and Tyler; her mother, Cecelia Galvin of Braintree, MA; two sisters, Cecelia Winslow of Quincy, MA and Arlene Meucci and her husband, Richard, of Woburn, MA; two nieces, Arlene and Nicole Curtis; a nephew, Joe Winslow, and a good friend, Max Shackelford of Manchester.

A funeral service was held Monday, November 16, 2009 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, Manchester.
