He was born in Manchester on October 13, 1924 to Dr. Arthur A. Blondin and Marie (Reagan) Blondin. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
He was an active contributor to the community, and was very proud of the home that he built with his wife of 49 years.
Mr. Blondin graduated from St. Joseph High School then entered Keene State College. During World War II and the Korean War he served in the US Marine Corps. He later finished his B.S. in Business at Colby College.
He worked as a Claims Supervisor at Equifax for 35 years.
He was a 50 year communicant of St. Catherine Church and was a 4th. Degree member and a Past Navigator of the Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Blondin was very involved with his children's activities, was a coach for North Little League and a member of the Central High School Booster Club.
The family includes his wife Dorothy E. (Reilly) Blondin; one son, Dr. Brian Blondin, MD of Andover, MA; two daughters, Laurie J. Perdue of San Mateo, CA, and Deborah T. Blondin of Bow; a sister, Kathleen (Blondin) Mello of Largo, FL and many nieces and nephews.
IN HIS LIFE: The family also includes two grandchildren, Raymond Anthony Perdue and Kaylee Coutu. He will be remembered as a selfless family man. Although his devotion to his family was foremost in his life, other interests included genealogy, gardening, the Red Sox, the Patriots, fishing, hunting, bridge, and traveling with his wife.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday January 29, 2007 at St. Catherine Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock streets, Manchester. Graveside committal prayers followed at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 448 Donald St., Bedford.
