Born in Peterborough on March 16, 1925, he was the son of John and Bernice (Keough) Clark. He lived in Harrisville and Peterborough many years before moving to Manchester in 1967.
During World War II he served in the U.S. Marine Corps including Nagasaki and Iwo Jima.
Mr. Clark worked for Public Service Company of New Hampshire for 36 years.
While living in Peterborough, he served as a volunteer firefighter for many years.
He was an avid bowler and a member of the League of 1000 Men of the Precious Blood.
He was married to Virginia (Keady) Clark who died in 1999.
The family includes four children, James D. Clark of Bedford, Roberta C. Cullity of Manchester, Christopher R. Clark of Franconia and Brian F. Clark of Atlanta, GA; six grandchildren; two brothers, Howard Clark and George Clark both of Harrisville; a sister, Jean Washer of Marlow, and cousins, nieces and nephews.
IN HIS LIFE: He was featured in a newspaper article for rescuing and administering CPR to his, then seven year old, son Christopher who had been accidently buried in a sandbank.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday, November 23, 2009 at St. Catherine Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock streets, Manchester. Burial was at Island Cemetery in Harrisville at the convenience of the family.
