He was born in Waltham, MA, June 24, 1940, and was the son of the late Ernest and Florence (Hudson) Huard. He and his wife have resided in Candia for the past 25 years.
Following graduation from Haverhill High School, he entered the United States Army in 1959, and was honorably discharged in 1962. He began his working career as a milkman in Newton, NH, followed by 12 years as a police officer for the City of Manchester. Later he worked 25 years for Bell Atlantic, NYNEX, New England Telephone, and Verizon.
Frank was a member of St. Paul's Parish in Candia, and a man of great faith.
He loved the outdoors, whether he was walking for hours, raising his farm animals, cutting wood, or working in the yard. Frank will be remembered as a person willing to lend a hand to anyone in need, as well as a family man whose eyes would light up when his granddaughters would come around. He will be missed.
Family members include his wife of 34 years, Cynthia Huard, of Candia, a son, Gregory Huard, and his wife Debby; 2 grandchildren; a step-mother, Marie Huard Sletterink, of Goffstown; 2 sisters, Florence Huard, of PA, Janet M. Huard Woitkowski, of Manchester; 2 brothers, Jim Hampson, of Hooksett, Dick Hampson, of NY; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother David Huard in 1977 and his father Ernest Huard in 1974.
Calling hours are Sunday from 4 to 7 o'clock at Lambert Funeral Home and Crematory, 1799 Elm St. Manchester.
A funeral Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, July 20, 2009 at St. Peter's Church, Auburn.
Burial followed in the Holbrook Cemetery, High St, Candia.
