Francis E. "Frank" Kies, 84, of Manchester, died June 7, 2004, at Hillsborough County Nursing Home, after a brief illness.
Born May 5, 1920, in Putnam, Ct., he was the son of Clarence and Alice (Coleman) Kies. He lived most of his life in Manchester.
He was an army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Kies worked at the 7-20-4 Cigar Factory and later for the Emery Waterhouse Co. for many years.
He was a communicant of St. Pius X Church.
Family members include his wife of 63 years, Priscilla (Robinson) Kies of Manchester; two daughters, Priscilla Atkins of Allenstown, and Barbara Gaumont of Merrimack; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Ethel Bernard of Manchester, and Dorothy Schaller of Bradenton, FL; nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Friday June 11, 2004 at St. Pius X. Church. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
