Francis Michael “Frankie” King, 75, of Manchester, died May 29, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Manchester, he was predeceased by his parents, Francis P. and Celeste (DeFreitas) King.
Frankie, a joyful soul whose laughter was as sweet and comforting as his beloved teddy bears, leaves behind a legacy of warmth, wit, and love. He would brighten any room
that he walked into. Frankie gave many hugs that were filled with so much kindness. His spirit touched the lives of both those who knew him well and those he had just met. He had a special way of making people feel seen and loved. His passion for life was unmistakably infectious.
Frankie was a devoted Boston Red Sox fan. He proudly competed in the Special Olympics, earning medals for his efforts, and played basketball with the Sundials. He was an avid mall walker that had a love for airplanes, hotdogs, and extra-large strawberry sundaes. Frankie cherished his time at the Moore Center and was a longtime, dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus and the Order of Alhambra. Frankie also enjoyed his time dancing and singing at Camp Allen. He was often seen with a novel or journal in hand, reminding us to enjoy the simple pleasures in life.
Frankie comes from a very large extended and loving family including his brother, Patrick King, wife Claire of Hudson, FL; his nephew Nicholas King, niece Kristen and husband Matt Bateman and children, his sister, Joyce King, husband Ray LaFlamme and niece Sydney of Brooklyn, NY; and many cousins, aunts, uncles, and Deepa and Bhim and children.
