Francis F. Serreti

Francis F. Serreti, 72, of Bedford, NH, died September 19, 2006 at his residence following a period of declining health.

He was born in Bridgeport, CT, on January 13, 1934, the son of Carmelo and Constance (Nardo) Serreti. He was educated in the Bridgeport school system and graduated from Fairfield Prep School. He received his bachelor's degree from Fairfield University.

Prior to retirement, he had been employed as a business manager by Textron in Wilmington, MA for 30 years.

Mr. Serreti loved gardening and preparing meals for his family. He possessed a quick wit and will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor. Above all, he loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Members of his family include his wife of 45 years, Roberta (Silke) Serreti of Bedford; one son, Francis J. Serreti of Haverhill, MA; three daughters, Lauren Filmore of Newbury, MA, Lisa Burtt of Hollis, NH, and Robyn Brunet of Auburn, NH; a granddaughter with whom he was very close, Johnna Haigh; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Pat Serreti of Strafford, CT; two sisters, Catherine Lisi of Derby, CT, and Norma Delia of New Town, CT; nephews and nieces.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Meetinghouse Rd, Bedford, on Friday September 22, 2006. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
