Frank Joseph Barnes, 79, of Rye, formerly of Manchester died September 15, 2017 at the Community Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Phoenix, AZ on April 27, 1938, he was the son of Frank and Dolores Barnes. He earned his bachelor's degree from Arizona State University.
Prior to retirement, he had worked for Philico in the satellite division and then New Hampshire College. He was instrumental in bringing computing services to NHC and creating the Management Information Services department and curriculum.
Frank loved to travel, play bridge and cribbage. Above all else, he will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be greatly missed.
Family members include his wife of 56 years, Eleanor (Healy) Barnes of Rye; his daughter, Rebecca Williams and husband Doug of Manchester; his grandsons, James and Marshall Williams of Manchester; and his many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 in St. Catherine of Siena Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock St.
