Frederick E. Baldwin

Frederick E. Baldwin, 89, of Bedford, NH died September 27, 2021 after a brief illness.

Born in Sterling-Oneco, CT on July 22, 1932, he was the son of Alfred and Helen (Erickson) Baldwin. Fred graduated from Plainfield High School and Oklahoma City University. He served in the US Marine Corp, stationed in Great Lakes, IL and San Diego, CA.

Fred worked at Cape Canaveral during the early days of the Space Program. In the late 1970's, he started Baldwin Investments, Inc., a real estate firm that currently owns and operates many properties in several states.

Fred was always involved with sports; baseball, basketball and track. In later years, he was an avid golfer.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Dowdell) Baldwin of Bedford; his children, Rick Baldwin of Dallas, TX, Craig Baldwin and his wife Jin of Chandler, AZ, and Terri Baldwin of Sarasota, FL; his daughter-in-law, Cynthia Baldwin; three granddaughters and four great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his son, Mark Baldwin in 2013.

Calling hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, corner of North St, Manchester, will be Friday from 10 am to 12 noon, followed by a committal service with military burial honors in the mausoleum at Mt. Calvary Cemetery at 12:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 60 Walnut St, Suite 101, Wellesley Hills, MA 02481.
