Gabrielle (Provencher) Houle, 93, of Manchester, NH died July 22, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Berwick, ME on April 29, 1924, she was the daughter of Odilon and Eva (Trudel) Provencher. She became a resident of Manchester in 1928. She attended St. Marie and St Jean the Baptist Grammar Schools and graduated from Manchester West High School in 1942.
Mrs. Houle was a volunteer for the Catholic Medical Center for 13 years. She was a member of the Currier Gallery of Art, the Bedford Garden Club, and the Manchester Institute of Arts & Sciences. She was also a longtime member of the Manchester Country Club.
She loved playing the violin with the New Hampshire Philharmonic Symphony and was an accomplished equestrian, skier, tennis player, and ballroom dancer. She was a member of the Catholic Medical Center Associates.
She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Dr. Roger E. Houle in 2007.
Family members include her sons, Gary Houle of Seattle, WA and Brian Houle and wife Jane of Manchester; one granddaughter, Ashley Houle of Manchester.
Burial with her husband in Mt. Calvary Cemetery will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Donations may be made in her memory to the Amedisys Hospice Program, 1F Commons Drive, Londonderry, NH 03053.
