She was born in Manchester on February 6, 1961, the daughter of Fernand E. and Mildred L. (Szarek) Coderre. She was a graduate of Manchester High School Central and attended Plymouth State College prior to earning her bachelor's degree from New Hampshire College.
She had been employed by the City of Manchester as a special education teacher, most recently with Parker-Varney School. Previously, she had worked as a case manager with Moore Center Services for many years.
Gail enjoyed socializing with her many friends, gardening, and shopping. She cherished the time she spent with her daughters, Alexa and Megan, and her husband.
Family members include her husband of 19 years, David A. Wheeler of Manchester; two daughters, Alexa Wheeler and Megan Wheeler, both of Manchester; her brother, David M. Coderre and his wife Kathleen of Jacksonville, FL; several nieces; her mother-in-law, Jeanne Wheeler of Bedford; her father-in-law, Robert Wheeler of Goffstown.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Catherine Church, corner of Webster St and Hemlock St, on Saturday, August 15, 2009. Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester.
Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the charity of one's choice or the Scleroderma Foundation, 300 Rosewood Drive, Suite 105, Danvers, MA 01923.
