He was born in Goffstown on April 29, 1942 and was the son of Herbert and Charlotte (Bliel) Chase. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
He was educated in the local school system. He later served with the New Hampshire Army National Guard Reserves.
Mr. Chase worked as a mechanic. He later donated a kidney to his brother that extended his life by 14 years.
He loved spending time with his family, going to church, country music and working on cars. He also volunteered his time as a chef at a local camp for children for many years.
The family include his wife of 34 years, Deniza (Lacasse) Chase of Manchester; two sons Gary J. Chase and Justin A. Chase both of Manchester; one brother, Robert Chase of Alabama; two sisters, Diane Woodin of Allenstown and Carol Lajoie of Manchester and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held Tuesday August 14, 2007 at the Church of Christ, 66 Mammoth Rd., Manchester 03103.
Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, Manchester assisted the family with arrangements.
