Gary L. Dame, 56, of Manchester, died April 13, 2010, at his home following a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Rochester, NH, April 3, 1954, and was the son of Richard, and Jean (Gowen)Dame.

He was a graduate of Spaulding High School class of 1972, and from the NH Vocational Technical College of Portsmouth, in 1974. In 1991 he earned a bachelors degree in computer science from Franklin Pierce College. Gary was employed as a software engineer by Meggit Avionics for many years, and recently as a project manager for Kollsmann Inc., of Merrimack.

Gary had many hobbies including all outdoor sports, and many home improvement projects. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandson Tyler, and eating ice cream.

He was active in Cursillo men's prayer groups and a member of the Sarto Board as well as the Londonderry, and Pointer Fish and Game clubs.

IN HIS LIFE: family members include his wife of 36 years, Theresa (Cormier) Dame, of Manchester; 2 daughters, Ms. Lisa Dame, Carolee Stafford and her husband Brian, all of Manchester; a son, Ryan Dame, and his fiancee, Jennifer Greenland, of Manchester; a grandson, Tyler Stafford; his parents, of Deer Isle, ME; 2 brothers, Alan Dame, and his wife Faith, of Rochester, Brian Dame, and his wife Deborah, of Monroe; a sister in-law, Cecile Paradis, and her husband Donald, of Rochester; 2 brothers- in-law, Paul Cormier and his wife, Teri, of Rochester, John Cormier, and his wife Michelle, of Farmington; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A funeral Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Raphael Church, 103 Walker St, Manchester on Friday, April 16, 2010.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family in the Haven Hill Cemetery in Rochester NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the St. Raphael Youth Ministry, 103 Walker St. Manchester NH 03102, or the Sarto Center, PO Box 810 Epping, NH 03042-810.
