Gary A. Goebel

Gary A. Goebel, 45, of Pembroke and Lisbon died suddenly February 15, 2010 at his Pembroke residence.

Born in Manchester on August 3, 1964, he was the son of Robert and Sheila (Smith) Goebel. He graduated from Memorial High School and the New Hampshire Vocational Technical College. He lived in Manchester most of his life before moving to Pembroke in 1999.

He worked at National Grid, Keyspan and Energy North for many years.

Gary was an avid skier, hiker and biker. He was a member of the Appalachian Mountain Club and was a longtime season pass holder at Cannon Mountain where he enjoyed his many close friends. He also enjoyed weekends at his cabin in Lisbon and playing drums and guitar in a band.

The family includes his wife of 12 years, Nancy (Wogan) Goebel of Pembroke and Lisbon; his parents of Manchester; a sister, Heidi Milonas of Auburn; a brother, Robert J. Goebel of Bluffton, SC; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held Monday, February 22, 2010 at Brookside Congregational Church, 2013 Elm St., Manchester. The Rev. Dawn Berry officiated.
