Genevieve L. Martin

Genevieve L. (Petrosky) Martin, 80, of Bedford, NH, died suddenly January 16, 2006 at her residence.

She was born in Jennerstown, PA, on January 1, 1926, the daughter of Stanley and Caroline (Orzech) Petrosky. She and her husband had recently moved to the Bedford area.

Prior to retirement, she had been employed as a claims representative by the Social Security Administration for 25 years.

She loved gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Members of her family include her husband, Francis J. Martin of Bedford; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Joseph and Fiona Martin of Palo Alto, CA, and Steven and Jeanne Martin of Hudson, NH; a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Steven DiOrio of Merrimack, NH; five grandchildren, Juliette and Philip Martin, Katelyn, Matthew, and Andrew DiOrio; a sister, Margaret Rode of Dix Hills, NY; a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Elizabeth Petrosky of Bridgewater, NJ; many nephews and nieces.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday, January 21, 2006 in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, Meetinghouse Rd, Bedford.

Lambert Funeral Home and Crematory, Manchester, was in charge of arrangements.
