George E. Allaire, 81, of Manchester, died May 26, 2004 at Maple Leaf Health Care after a long illness.
Born on June 23, 1922 he was the son of Edward and Helen(Lambert) Allaire. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
Mr. Allaire had been an electrical contractor in the Manchester area for over forty years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5260, and a member of the League of a Thousand Men of the Precious Blood. He enjoyed baseball and football, and loved his "tea." He was the past President of the Rimmon Club. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, parish.
When the grandchildren were younger, they would visit him at his lake house. They will always have fond memories of those visits. Pepere was affectionately named ,by them"Big Bubble"
Family members include his wife of 58 years, Dorothy (Laliberte) Allaire, of Manchester; a daughter, Diane Heald, of Candia; 2 sons, Stephen Allaire, of Southington CT, and Norman Allaire of Weare; 6 grand children; 1 great grandchild; a brother Edward Allaire, of Manchester; a sister, Priscilla Winkelsas, of Manchester; several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday May 28, 2004 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church 266 Cypress St. Manchester.
Following cremation, encryptment took place in Mt. Calvary Mausoleum.
