George E. Belair, 80, of Manchester, died August 28, 2005, at Catholic Medical Center.
Born in Manchester, November 16, 1924, he was a son of Albert and Louise (Tousignant) Belair. He was a lifelong resident of this city.
Mr. Belair worked in the shoe industry for several years and retired from Associated Grocers where he worked for 26 years.
He was a member of the Teamsters Union, Local 633.
He was a communicant of St. Anthony Church.
He leaves his wife of 44 years, Juliette P. (Rene) Belair of Manchester; three daughters, Janine Adams and her husband Carey, of Deltona, FL, Denise Bassett and her husband Christopher, of Wilmington, Delaware, and Suzanne Vance and her husband Scott, of Nashua, NH; 3 grandsons; 3 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; two brothers, Maurice Belair, and Robert Belair, both of Manchester; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Thursday September 1, 2005 at St. Anthony Church. Burial followed in St. Augustin Cemetery.
