George H. Elskamp

November 9, 1956 — January 13, 2023

George H. Elskamp, 66, of Hooksett, passed away on January 13, 2023, at Catholic Medical Center.

Born in Los Angeles, CA, on November 9, 1956, he was the son of the late Dale and Marilyn (Libby) Elskamp.  After spending most of his life in automotive in southern California, in 2016, he moved to New Hampshire and retired from the Manchester Veterans Hospital in 2022.

George's centeredness was his relationships. He saw purpose and opportunity in every part of his life. It brought him pride to see his children and grandchildren succeed in all their big and small ambitions. Being outdoors, whether fishing, camping, or any place that allowed open-air adventure, gave him energy, happiness, and restoration. Above all else, he will be remembered as an entrusted friend, loving husband, and guiding father and grandfather.

Surviving family members include his beloved wife of 13 years, Jeanie (Duncano) Elskamp of Hooksett; five children, Jennifer Elskamp of Chicago, IL, Marilyn Castagneto and husband Dana of Pelham, Elizabeth Snyder and husband Matt of San Diego, CA, Chloe Elskamp of Hooksett, and George D. Elskamp of Hooksett; eleven grandchildren; one sister, Diane Elskamp of Tehachapi, CA; two brothers, James Elskamp and wife Joanne of Tehachapi, CA and Roland Elskamp of Port Charlotte, FL; two nieces; and one nephew.
