George A. Lessard

George A. Lessard, 87, of Hooksett died June 7, 2010 at Catholic Medical Center after a brief illness.

Born in Manchester on June 19, 1922, he was the son of Charles and Bella (Blais) Lessard. He lived in Hooksett for many years.

During World War II he served in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Lessard was building manager at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Manchester for many years.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4961, the American Legion Post 79 and the League of 1000 Men of the Precious Blood.

He enjoyed time spent with his family and playing pool and card games.

IN HIS LIFE: The family includes his wife of 56 years, Juliette L. (Boisvert) Lessard of Hooksett; a daughter, Denise Hunsaker and her husband, Robert, of Francestown; two grandchildren, Jessica Lee Hunsaker and Adam George Hunsaker; a brother, Roland Lessard of Manchester; and cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday, June 11, 2010 at St. Catherine Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock streets, Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
