George Muszynski, 71, of Manchester died December 2, 2021 surrounded by his family.
Born in Germany on October 22, 1950, he was the son of Henry and Klementyna (Marunicz) Muszynski. He was educated in the Manchester school system and graduated from Central High School.
After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served in Vietnam. He also served in the U.S. Army and spent more than a decade in the N.H. Army National Guard.
He worked as principal planner for the State of New Hampshire Office of Emergency Management, retiring in 2016.
He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. He was an active member of the American Legion, belonging to both Henry J. Sweeney Post #2 and Post #79, both in Manchester. A proud veteran, he supported others who served by driving them to doctor's appointments and assisted with the Legion's food delivery program.
Above all else, he cherished time spent with family and dedicated much of his life to caring for his son, Daniel.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, MaryAnn (Dionne) Muszynski, in 2005. He was also predeceased by his parents and his brothers, John and Ricky.
He is survived by his daughter, Melissa A. Muszynski of Manchester; his sons, Daniel G. Muszynski of Manchester, Steven J. Muszynski and wife Kristen of Auburn, Maine; a brother, Stanley Muszynski of Manchester; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
Calling hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North St., will be Friday, December 10 from 4-7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 11 at 10 a.m. at St. Hedwig Church, Beech St., Manchester. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Hedwig Cemetery, Bedford.
