He was born in Zebulon, NC on August 2, 1927 to William Jackson and Myrtice (Parks) Perry. He lived in Manchester for most of his life.
He was drafted into the U.S. Army at the age of 19 and served as a P-51 Mechanic. While in the Army, he met his wife of 61 years, Claire, who was then a nursing student at Elliot Hospital.
Because of goals attained while working at DeMambro Radio Supply / Stark Electronics, he and his wife were able to enjoy many trips abroad. He later worked at Grappone Truck Sales and Plausawa Valley Country Club for many years.
He loved to hunt and fish and became an avid golfer at the age of 40.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Gay Elizabeth Perry in 2000.
The family includes his wife, Claire (Verrette) Perry of Manchester; three children, Rebecca Dionne and her husband, James, of Manchester, W. Jackson Perry and his wife, Alicia, of Pembroke and George A. Perry of Hooksett; a sister, Mary West of Littleton, NC; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside committal service was held on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at St. Joseph Cemetery, 448 Donald St., Bedford.
