George E. Proulx 87, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on November 15, 2006 following a brief illness.
He was born in Exeter, NH on October 9, 1919, the son of John Proulx and Marie Ann (Blanchette) Proulx. He was a graduate of Central High School class of 1939.
He resided in Manchester most of his life until moving to the family lake house at Silver Lake in Belmont five years ago.
He worked for the Felton Brush Company for 35 years and after his retirement had worked part-time for Hannaford Bros.
George always enjoyed playing cards, cribbage and bingo with his family and friends. He also won many trophies for bowling.
He was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 5260.
Members of his family include three brothers, Ernest O. Proulx of Hooksett, John F. Proulx of Lakeland, Florida & Salem NH, and Richard T. Proulx of Manchester; two sisters, Aurore M. Proulx and Beatrice J. Proulx, both of Belmont, NH; several nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, December 4th, 2006 in Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
