George A. Simard, 79, of Manchester died May 6, 2006 at Catholic Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born in Manchester on April 25, 1927, he was the son of Etienne and Dora (Bellemore) Simard. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
Mr. Simard worked as a security guard at the Currier Museum of Art in Manchester for many years. He was a member of the League of 1000 Men of the Precious Blood.
The family includes his wife of 52 years, Pauline (Cloutier) Simard of Manchester; a daughter, Helen Lesmerises of Goffstown; a sister, Doris Rondeau of Manchester; a brother, Robert Simard of Manchester and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Tuesday May 9, 2006 in Sacred Heart Church, 265 S. Main St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
