Gerald J. Fitzgerald, 59, of Goffstown, died December 16, 2001, at Catholic Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born in Manchester, December 22, 1941, he was the son of Richard and Florence (Metivier) Fitzgerald. He lived most of his life in Manchester and had been a Goffstown resident the past several years.
Mr. Fitzgerald was a graduate of Bishop Bradley High School and St. Michael's College, Winooski, VT.
He worked as a drug and alcohol counselor for the State of NH for a number of years. In recent years he owned and operated Fitzgerald Advertising.
He was a devoted and loving father who gave selflessly to his children and everyone he knew.
He leaves behind his three children who were his best friends, Christine M. Carlucci of Glen Ridge, NJ, Meagan A. Fitzgerald of Goffstown and Joseph P. Fitzgerald of Portsmouth; a sister, Christine M. Contois of Bedford; a brother, Daniel J. Fitzgerald of Manchester; 3 nephews.
Calling hours were December 19, 2001 in Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North St.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated December 20, 2001 in St. Patrick Church. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
