Geraldine F. Ciambriello

Geraldine F. Ciambriello, 76, of Bedford, died November 14, 2016 at Elliot Hospital after a courageous battle with lung disease, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Winchester, MA on April 7, 1940, she was the daughter of Frances Riley and Helen (Colgate-Riley) Gibson; and step father Donald Gibson. She was a graduate of Woburn High School, Woburn, MA and graduated from cosmetology school in Boston, MA.

Geraldine was a licensed cosmetologist by trade, working for Lashy Hair Salon, and Ideal Hair Salon in Reading, MA, and later being self employed prior to retirement. She was a homemaker by heart, always providing unconditional care, love, and support for her family and all those she encountered. She was truly a beautiful person inside and out.

Geraldine was very creative and artistic, making vibrant stained glass pieces with her daughters, as well as magnificent floral designs. She also enjoyed decorating the family home for each holiday and festivity. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren meant the world to her, along with her "fur babies," Loralie and Coco Channel.

Above all, Geraldine will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister.

Family includes her beloved husband of 40 years, Dominic Ciambriello of Bedford; two daughters, Linda Govostes-O'Neil and husband Timothy of Wakefield, MA, and Diane Beland of Weare; one son, Kenneth Govostes of Nashua; seven grandchildren, Jeffrey and Andrew Cardwell of Weare, Lindsay Govostes of Stoneham, MA, Thomas Beland of Weare, and Chole McMaster of Wakefield, MA, Rebecca Casey of Newton, MA, and Brian O'Neil of Stoneham, MA; and four great grandchildren, Brooke, Hunter, and Aidan Cardwell of Weare, and Michaela Casey of Newton, MA; and her nieces, Debra and Lisa. She was predeceased by her parents; her daughter Donna Jean Govostes-Woods; sister Patricia Nadeau; and son-in-law, Alan Beland.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, November 21, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Rd., Bedford. Burial followed in Bedford Center Cemetery.
