Sr. Geraldine Goguen, pm (Sr. Laura-Marie), 87, of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary, Manchester, died August 4, 2021 at her residence.
She was born in Gardner, MA on August 11, 1933, the daughter of Cyrus and Laura (Cormier) Goguen.
Sister Geraldine obtained a B.S. in Education from Catholic Teachers' College in Rhode Island and a Masters in Clinical Social Work from Catholic University in Washington D.C. She taught in various elementary schools in Maine and Massachusetts, and at Presentation of Mary High School in Methuen, MA, where she also served as librarian. She worked in Human Relations Services in the Diocese of Portland, ME. For 16 years, she was part of the leadership team in Methuen, MA.
She was predeceased by her parents, and is mourned by her nephew in Texas, William Goguen, and cousins including Rev. David Doiron and many faithful cousins.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Private burial will be at Presentation of Mary Cemetery in Hudson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Presentation of Mary Retirement Fund, 495 Mammoth Road, Manchester, NH 03104.
