Gerard C. Descoteau

Gerard C. “Gerry” Descoteau, 71, of Manchester died Sunday March 12, 2023 after a period of declining health.

Born August 29, 1951 in Claremont, NH, he was the son of George & Gladys (Marquis) Descoteau.  He was raised in Claremont and attended local schools.  He also spent time living in Nashua and Weare.  Gerry worked for many years in the restaurant industry, namely at IHOP, Papa Gino’s, and Bickford’s Family Restaurant where he worked for 29 years. 

In his younger years Gerry was active with the Boy Scouts.  He enjoyed sports and was an avid New England sports fan.  His family will remember him for many fun trips to the lake where he enjoyed fishing and spending time with them. He will be missed by all who loved him.

Gerry is survived by his children Christopher E. Descoteau & his wife Melissa, Amanda E. Descoteau, George G. Descoteau, Rebecca G. Descoteau, and Shawna J. Guzman & her husband Delso; his grandchildren Tyler & Alex Descoteau and Jean & Jacob Guzman; his siblings Anne Fontaine, Janet Reilly, and Thomas Descoteau; and many nieces & nephews.  He was predeceased by his wife Brenda (Carter) Descoteau and his siblings Michael & Marion Descoteau.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be Saturday March 18^th from 11 am to 2 pm at Lambert Funeral Home, 1799 Elm St., Manchester, followed by a service in the funeral home at 2 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
