He was born in Compton, Quebec on May 2, 1922, the son of Valere and Lucie (Bolduc) Doyon. He received his education in Canada and was a graduate of DeVry Institute.
Prior to moving to the Manchester area, he served in the Canadian Army. After getting married in 1954, he and his wife Jacqueline moved to the Manchester area and started a family.
He was employed as a Test Technician by Sanders Associates, and later Raytheon Corp.
He enjoyed gardening, spending time with his family, and loved repairing "just about anything" for family and friends.
His family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home Alzheimer's Unit and Easter Seals for their loving care in his final months.
Members of his family include his wife of 53 years, Jacqueline (Rodrigue) Doyon of Manchester; one daughter, Linda (Doyon) Rhodes and husband Ken of Bedford; two sons, Peter Doyon and wife Sue of Hooksett and Marc Doyon and wife Betty of Pembroke; six grandchildren, Gregory, Charlie, Douglas, Joseph, Andrea, and Stephen; many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A memorial service was held in Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, corner of North St, Manchester, on Saturday, May 12th, 2007. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Easter Seals of New Hampshire, Alzheimer's Adult Care Program, 555 Auburn St, Manchester, NH, 03103 or to the Hillsborough County Nursing Home, Alzheimer's Care Unit, 400 Mast Rd, Goffstown, NH 03045.
