He was a life long resident of Manchester, born September 24, 1918,the son of Ernest R. and Yvonne C. (Deschenes) Laflamme. He was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Manchester and the Boston School of Electrical Engineering.
Mr. Laflamme's wife of 57 years, Doris A. (Beaudet) Laflamme, died in 1998. His life revolved around his family and home. He was a self-employed electrical contractor in Manchester for over 30 years.
He served in the US Army during World War II.
Mr. Laflamme was a communicant of St. Joseph Cathedral and most recently of St. Peter Church in Auburn.
Family members include two daughters, Priscilla Guild of Nashua, NH and Susan Charron of Litchfield, NH; two sons, Gerard A. Laflamme Jr., of Monroe, NH, and Mark Laflamme of Auburn, NH; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jules Laflamme of Manchester, NH; a sister, Claire Bernard of Williamstown, MA; nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Yvonne Doyle, and by a brother, Ernest Laflamme.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday June 4, 2007 at St. Peter Church, Auburn. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
