Gerard O. Peloquin

Gerard O. Peloquin, 86, of Manchester, died September 8, 2008 at a local healthcare facility after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Manchester, September 17, 1921, the son of Theophile and Regina (St. Germain) Peloquin. He was educated in the local school system and was a graduate of Manchester High School Central.

During WWII he served in the US Army. He was stationed in Paris, France and Germany and worked as an interpreter for the military police during his service abroad. He was honorably discharged in 1946 and received numerous awards, including the European, African, and Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon.

Prior to retirement, he had managed T.B.I. Treisman's for 57 years.

He was predeceased by one daughter Louise Sarette in 1975.

Family members include his wife of 62 years, Theresa (Sauvageau) Peloquin of Manchester; one daughter, Muriel Ouellette of Manchester; two sons, Paul Peloquin and Pierre Peloquin, both of Manchester; four grandchildren, Christina Lucas, Jennifer McKean, Matthew Ouellette, and Mark Ouellette; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Maurice Peloquin of Manchester; many nephews, nieces, and cousins. He was predeceased by seven brothers, Alphee, Alfred, Ulderic 'Joe', Leo, Edgar, Isidore 'Zeke', and Lionel Peloquin as well as four sisters, Irene Cloutier, Cecile Franklin, Margaret Berthiaume, and Marie Jeanne Dionne.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Thursday, September 11, 2008 in St. Catherine Church. Burial with military honors was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd. Manchester.
