Gerard M. Rousseau, 70, of Manchester, died April 25, 2002, at Hanover Hill Health Care Center, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Manchester, April 7, 1932, he was the son of Rodrique and Marie (Roy) Rousseau. He was a lifelong resident of this city.

He was a graduate of St. Anthony High School.

Mr. Rousseau served in the NH Army National Guard for 17 years and retired as a Captain.

He worked for John Swenson Granite Co. and was later president of Swenson Building Granite Co. He retired in 1992 from Rock of Ages where he worked as both sales and plant manager for 10 years. He was also an architect.

He was a past president of the Greater Concord Industrial Association.

He was a communicant of St. Pius X Church.

He was married to Marilyn (McDonough) Rousseau, who died in 2000.

Family members include 3 sons, Brien G. Rousseau, Keith W. Rousseau, both of Manchester, and Scott J. Rousseau of Bedford; 5 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Irene Gelinas of Asburnham, Ma, and Pauline Charpentier of Fremont, CA; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Tuesday April 30,2002 in St. Pius X Church. Encryptment was in Mount Calvary Mausoleum.
