Gerard (Gerry) H. Villemure, 90, died Saturday, May 3, 2025, at The Courville in Manchester. He was born in Manchester on March 30, 1935, to the late Armand and Yvonne (St. Cyr) Villemure. He married Rollande Grenon on September 30, 1995.
Gerry was a member of the Richelieu Club, Franco-American Historical Society, Franciscan Secular Order, The Legion of Mary, League of Sacred Heart at St. Augustin Church, League of 1000 Men of the Precious Blood, World Apostolate of Fatima and Coeurs Joyeux. He served his country in the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1960 at the rank of Specialist 4. He worked for the State of New Hampshire, Department of Employment Security, retiring in 1995 with 35 years of service. He enjoyed traveling, gardening and reading religious books.
Gerry is survived by stepdaughter, Claire Vaillancourt; four step-grandchildren; two great step-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Villemure of Kansas City; and four nieces. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife of 14 years, Rollande (Grenon) Villemure; stepdaughter Estelle Hill; and sister, Vivian Villemure.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 5pm to 7pm at Lambert Funeral Home, 1799 Elm St. in Manchester. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 10am at St. Anthony of Padua Parish, 172 Belmont St. in Manchester. Please meet directly at church. Burial with military honors will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
