Germaine “Germ” Marguerite Clement, 93, of Manchester, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at The Elliot Hospital in Manchester. She was born on July 25, 1932 in Goffstown and was the daughter of the late Louis E. and Rose A. (Bergeron) Clement.
Germ grew up in Suncook, NH from 1937 - 1955, and attended St. George High School from 1947 - 1951, Notre Dame College from 1951 - 1955 and Notre Dame de Lourdes School of Medical Technology from 1955 - 1956. She moved to Manchester in 1955 and worked at Notre Dame Hospital / Catholic Medical Center from 1956 - 1987 and NH Medical Labs from 1987 until she retired in 1996.
Germ enjoyed oil painting, reading, listening to music and the Boston Red Sox. She did some traveling to France, Italy, Hawaii, Bermuda, Canada and several places N-S-E and W of the United States.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sister: Constance Peterson.
Germ is survived by her nephew: Michael Peterson and his wife Kristine; her niece: Jennifer (Peterson) Langevin and her husband William; her three grand nieces: Elisha Rose and her fiancé Christopher Gelinas, Ashlyn L. and Kailey O. Lengevin; and several cousins and friends.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St. in Manchester from 5pm – 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 207 Hemlock St. in Manchester at 10am. Please meet directly at church. Committal prayers will follow at St. Augustin Cemetery in Manchester.
