Germaine Lanoie

Germaine (Dupont)(Gauvin) Lanoie, 94, of Manchester died August 22, 2008 at Derry Healthcare following a long illness.

She was born on February 9, 1914 in Manchester NH, the daughter of Joseph and Merina (Valliere) Dupont. She was educated in local schools and lived in Manchester most of her life.

She worked many years as a seamstress for Salvage Shoe Co.

Mrs. Lanoie was a longtime member of St Augustin Church where she was an active member of the Sodality of St. Anne. While living in Florida she was involved in retirement activities and was a member of the New England Club. She was also a member of the Organ Club and the Travel Club of Florida .

She will always be remembered as a positive individual who had a smile for everyone.

She was predeceased by two husbands, Armand Gauvin 1972 and Adelard H. Lanoie in 1989.

IN HER LIFE: The family includes two children, Theresa Gauvin of California and Richard Gauvin of New Hampshire; a sister, Antoinette Pratte of Manchester; a step daughter, Dolores and her husband Thomas Gelinas of Salem NH; three grandchildren, Mark and Paul Gelinas of Salem NH and Lisa Gelinas of Amsterdam, The Netherlands; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, August 25, 2008 at St Anne-St. Augustin Church, corner of Beech and Cedar streets, Manchester, NH. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester, NH
