Germaine M. (Houle) Michaud, 101, of Manchester, died December 3, 2016 at Holy Cross Health Care Center from natural causes.
She was born in Manchester on April 3, 1915 to Donat and Elizabeth (Dubord) Houle. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
Germaine worked at Chicopee Mills, Manchester Knitted Fashions and Servomation, all in Manchester. She cherished time spent with her family, who affectionately called her "Mem". She also had a love of singing and harmonizing.
She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Lucien J. Michaud in 2006 and by five siblings.
The family includes two children, Dr. Norman G. Michaud and his wife, Anna, of Dunbarton and Judith Mary Madden, RN and her husband, Harry, of Candia; eight grandchildren, Thomas Michaud, Pamela Laflamme, RN, Dr. Stephen Michaud, Kelly St. Hilaire, David Michaud, Cynthia Maser, RN, Kenneth Madden and Dr. Jeffrey Michaud; 21 great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 172 Belmont St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
