She was born in Manchester, December 22, 1913 the youngest of 16 children of Evariste and Emily (Gavin) Therrien. She was a lifelong resident of this city.
Germaine worked in the shoe industry for many years. She also volunteered as a foster grandparent at Easter Seals.
She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
Germaine was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Proulx in 1964 and by a daughter, Lucille Palmer, who died earlier this year.
She leaves three children, Andrew Proulx and his wife, Irene, of Manchester, Raymond Proulx and his wife, Vi, of Dade City, FL, and Irene Proulx of Concord; a son in-law, Roland Palmer of Goffstown; 16 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 in Sacred Heart Church. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
