Gertrude A. Bournival, 73, of Manchester, died September 9, 2012 at Hanover Hill Healthcare following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Manchester, on August 21, 1939 and was the daughter of Jack and Rose (Loranger) Britton. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
Gertrude graduated from St. Patrick grammar school and St. Joseph High School.
She worked as a receptionist for the Raytheon Company for over 20 years and after her retirement she worked as a receptionist for Villa Crest Nursing Home and Retirement Center for 8 years.
She was a parishioner of St. Pius X Church and a member and past president of the Jutras Post Women's Auxiliary for 26 years and also a member of the V.F.W. Post 8214 Auxiliary.
She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and was an avid Red Sox Fan. She loved bowling and doing her crossword puzzles.
Family members include her beloved husband of 52 yrs Robert G. Bournival of Manchester; a daughter, Diane C. French; three grandchildren, Melissa Beaulieu, Timothy Beaulieu and Taylor French. She was predeceased by her son Keith Bournival in 1990 and by all of her brothers and sisters.
A Mass of Christian burial took place on Friday, September 14, 2012 at St. Pius X Church, 575 Candia Road, Manchester. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd, Manchester.
