Born January 13, 1919, in Manchester, NH, she was the daughter of Simeon and Aurore (Bosse) Lavigne. She was educated in the local school system and was a graduate of Manchester High School Central.
She had been employed by Zayre Department Store for 15 years prior to her retirement in 1981. She had previously been employed as a floor lady with Massabesic Shoe Factory.
Supporting and caring for her family were most important to her. She was predeceased by her husband Lionel W. Chaput in 1959.
Members of her family include two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Shirley) Pedrick of Pembroke and Judy Chaput of Manchester; two grandchildren, Kevin Harrington and Heidi Pedrick; two great-grandchildren, Faye Harrington and Richard Harrington; nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Saturday July 7, 2007 at St. Pius X Church. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Sisters of the Precious Blood Monastery, 700 Bridge St, Manchester, NH 03104.
