Gertrude A. Chicoine

She was born in Manchester on June 19, 1922, and was the daughter of William and Celia (Munnelly) Glennon.

Gertrude was a graduate of St. Joseph High School and later Boston University.

During WWII she served in the US. Navy (Waves) in Washington D.C.

She was employed many years as a Library Assistant at Catholic Medical Center.

Gertrude was predeceased by her husband of 52 years Albert E. Chicoine who died in 2000.

Family members include three daughters, Marie Miller, of York ME, Elizabeth Cavanaugh, of Manchester, Barbara Chicoine, of Temple AZ; six grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday April 5, 2008 at St Catherine's Church, 207 Hemlock St. Manchester.

Burial with military honors followed at St. Augustine Cemetery.
