Gertrude S. Corriveau, 95, of Manchester died Sunday August 14, 2022 at Villa Crest Nursing and Retirement Center.
Born in Berlin, NH on March 28, 1927, she was the daughter of Alphonse and Louisa (Adams) Ouellette. She grew up in Berlin and at the age of 18, she moved to Manchester to work at U.S. Rubber. It was at U.S. Rubber that she met her husband Roger Corriveau. They enjoyed 23 years of marriage until his death in 1970.
Gert was a fun-loving lady who loved dancing with her husband and socializing with friends. She liked reading, going to the movies, and dining out. She loved music, particularly Fats Domino. In her younger years she enjoyed hiking with NH friends, bowling with her team “The Alley Cats”, and going for walks with her walking group “The Night Steppers.” She will be remembered for her love of family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Gert is survived by her daughter Priscilla Drouin & her husband Donald of Candia; her grandchildren Crystal McLain & her husband Scott of New Durham, Christina Drouin of Nashville, TN, and Nicholas Drouin & his wife Jenna of Amherst, NH; her great-grandchildren Chloe McLain & Oden Drouin; her sisters Jeannie Lachance & her husband Alphe of Manchester, Sr. Doris Ouellette of Hampton; and her brother Arthur Ouellette & his wife Lorraine of Highland, MI. She was predeceased by her sister Lorraine Schuler.
SERVICES: A visitation for Gertrude will be held on Monday September 12th from 12 pm to 1pm at Lambert Funeral Home, 1799 Elm St., Manchester, NH 03104, followed immediately by a service at 1pm in the funeral home. A committal service will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery on Goffstown Rd. in Manchester.
Donations in Gertrude’s name may be made to the American Heart Association.
