Gertrude G. Faucher, 86, of Manchester, died October 23, 2006, at Hillsborough County Nursing Home in Goffstown, after a long illness.
She was born in Manchester, February 23, 1920, and was the daughter of Joseph and Lea (Cabana) Gagnon. She was employed for several years at J.F. McElwain Shoe Co. and later at RCL in Manchester.
She was a communicant of St. Marie Church. She enjoyed bingo, sewing, needlepoint and playing cards with family and friends.
She was the widow of Maurice P. Guilbert, who died in 1965 after 25 years of marriage, and later to Roger W. Faucher, who died in 1987 after 19 years of marriage.
She leaves three children, Judith Howard and Maurice R. Guilbert, both of Manchester, and Gerald Guilbert formerly of Bedford, NH now living in Rotonda, FL; six grandchildren, Stephen L'Heureux of Hooksett, David L'Heureux of Dallas, TX, Jennifer DeSaulnier of Bedford, Lisa Giamba of Manchester, Joni Guilbert of Londonderry, and Jerry Guilbert of Centreville, VA; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Laurette Carbonneau of Manchester, and Theresa Gill of Concord, NH; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Jeannette Cullerot, Beatrice Cullerot and Bertha Beaulieu.
Gertrude's family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of Hillsborough County Nursing home for their excellent care and understanding.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Friday October 27, 2006 at St. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
