Gertrude D. (Nadeau) Gagne, 94, of Manchester, died March 24, 2018 at Elliot Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born in Manchester on July 8, 1923 to Honore and Josephine (Methot) Nadeau. Together with her husband of 56 years, Laurent P. Gagne, she lived in Manchester for most of her life and in Hollywood, FL during her retirement years.
She was predeceased by her husband and seven siblings.
Prior to her marriage, Gertrude worked as a secretary at the VA Medical Center in Manchester. She then focused her life on raising her five children. In retirement she enjoyed traveling and cruising with her husband.
The family includes five children, Janet DiIulio and her husband, Anthony, Richard Gagne, Paul Gagne, Lynne Cronin and Joyce Loewenstein and her husband, David; 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, April 27, 2018 at St. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester. The cemetery committal service is private.
